FLUSHING MEADOWS RESORT AND PLAYGROUND

Summer has begun and I believe that a lot of you guys would like to take a vacation whether abroad or in the Philippines. If anyone of you is interested to spend your precious vacation time in Bohol, Philippines, why not stay at Flushing Meadows Resort and Playground? Why not, right?
Last April 10-12, 2016, my mama and I together with our close family friends took a vacation at Bohol. "Bohol is a 1st provincial income class island province of the Philippines located in the Central Visayas region, consisting of the island itself and 75 minor surrounding islands. Its capital is Tagbilaran. With a land area of 4,821 km2 (1,861 sq mi) and a coastline 261 km (162 mi) long, Bohol is the tenth largest island of the Philippines." I was tasked to look for a resort at Panglao where we can stay, relax, and enjoy the pristine white sand beaches with a relaxing and tranquil setting. As I was searching, I was drawn at TravelBook's official website and found this tropical island resort. The photos showing the amenities of the resort are eye-catching and I admitted that I was charmed with its enigmatic beauty. I told myself, "I'm really going to stay in this place, no matter what or how expensive it will be!" (hihih) Luckily, this resort offered summer promo packages that time. I immediately grabbed the opportunity and had my reservation for a 2-night stay.

Flushing Meadows Resort and Playground is a high-end tropical island resort located along the white sand pristine beaches of Brgy. Dao, Dauis Panglao Island, Bohol. It's just only 20 minutes ride from Tagbilaran airport and seaport. Good thing is, a resort staff will fetch you from either the airport or seaport and will arrange for your transportation going to the resort. No hassle on your part.
Upon arrival at the resort, the staff warmly welcomed us and even gave us complimentary drinks while waiting for our room assignment. The staff also carried our luggage going to our rooms. The staff were really accommodating, dependable, and approachable.

This resort is a perfect getaway for families, friends, couples, company meetings/team buildings or any group gatherings. With its undeniable wide range of facilities, to its tranquil and serene setting, you'll surely have your dream destination in this unspoiled paradise.
ROOMS
The resort also offers cozy accommodations to its customers. Personally, the room was very comfortable in every way. I reserved a Standard Room with buffet breakfast bundle. The basic room rate charge ranges from ₱3,500 - up. C'mon, it's affordable, right? (hihih)

- All rooms are fully air-conditioned
- All rooms are equipped with hot and cold water, cable TV, safety deposit box, fully stocked mini bar, coffee and tea making facilities, hair dryer, complimentary water, telephone with NDD/IDD and all bathroom amenities
- A smoke detector and shower head is likewise provided in all rooms.
- There is no brownout in the resort as a diesel powered generator set is available and on standby.
DINING
Now talking about the buffet breakfast, hmm, the food was great, so sulit! I really like to stay here, like for real? (haha) The Aces and Champions Bar and Restaurant offers delectable and mouthwatering cuisines. It is an open type restaurant in which the whistling sound of the breeze of the ocean can be heard while enjoying your meal. It has a scenic and relaxing ambiance, too.

RESORT AMENITIES AND FACILITIES
Speaking of the amenities, one of my favorite spots here is the POOL! Oh my G, the pool was so real! Amazing! --- large, unique, clean, and the bougainvillea flowers added more beauty to the pool's background. Instagram- worthy spot! Nah, can I stay here... forever? (hihih)✌

On the other hand, guests can also arrange tours and aqua sports directly with the resort. In our case, the resort arranged the van to be used and the tour guide for our Countryside Tour which includes the following famous spots in Bohol: Chocolate Hills, Tarsier Sanctuary, lunch at Loboc River Floating Restaurant, Man-made Forest, Butterfly Garden, Bohol Python & Wildlife Park, and Loboc Eco Adventure Park "iFlyLoboc".

Aside from the Countryside Tour, we also tried the Island Hopping activity that covers Balicasag Island and Virgin Island to hop in. There is also an option for the hoppers to snorkel in the crystal clear waters of the Balicasag Island Marine Sanctuary. The trip from one island to another will took you hours, but I assure you that it's all worth it. We chartered a private boat which was arranged by the resort. You will be amazed with the stunning and undiscovered beauty of Bohol. It's indeed a tropical haven of natural beauty.
Overall, I commend Flushing Meadows Resort and Playground for its high-class, serene, and vibrant setting; for its delectable cuisines that will surely satisfy one's gastronomic indulgence; and lastly, for its commendable services.
Our stay was beyond my expectation and imagination. Though the beachfront wasn't that impressive, it cannot erase the fact that this resort is one of a kind. It has its own tropical splendor and charm. If you'll ask me if I will stay here again in the future, it's definitely a YES! Two thumbs up for this resort!
