The receptionist of the hotel arranged a tour for us which is THB 1,000/person… inclusive of the entrance fee with VIP access for the Cultural & Elephant show, transportation from the hotel (coach), a guide, and a bottled water. J

The hotel booked us a taxi going there & we have a discount. However, from the Floating Market back to the hotel, we paid the usual fare rate.

Expect to pay between 10 and 20 baht per person, per ride.

Follow the signs going to the ferry terminal… purchase a ferryboat boat ticket and wait for your boat.

(Wat Phra Kaew- Emerald Buddha)
Open from 8 am-5 pm
Boat: This is one of the most popular ways to Wat Pho and the Grand Palace. Take an express boat to Tha Tien (N8) along the Chao Phraya. Once you walk out of the pier walk past the food stalls until you get to a large road junction. In front (slightly to the right) is the Grand Palace. Take a right here and walk about 10 minutes until you come to Wat Pho which will be on the other side of the road.

Bus: numbers 1, 3, 25, 44, 48, 91, 503, 508 and 512 all stop nearby Wat Pho.
Entrance: 500/pax

Wat Pho (Reclining Buddha)

*In our case, we weren’t able to visit the temple… huhu, maybe next time! J
Open from 8 am-5 pm
One of the cheapest and easiest way to reach Wat Pho is via the boat ride on the Chao Phraya River. The nearest BTS Skytrain station is Saphan Taksin Station. The Sathorn Pier is just 5-10 minutes walking distance from Saphan Taksin Station.

Wat Arun (Temple of Dawn)
From the Grand Palace, walk for about 10-15 minutes to reach the public ferry terminal.  Ride a public water ferry going to Wat Arun. It is just a 5-minute ride worth 4 Baht per person.

Fare: 4/pax (one-way ride)

Near the public ferry terminal.
