who wouldn’t want to go there?
That glorious place where God lives and where one day, we will hopefully join Him. Ahhh, what does it really looks like? Well, no one really knows but I’m pretty sure that if you’ll visit Garin Farm, you’ll surely have a taste of heaven (or you’ll surely have a glance of what heaven looks like).

Garin Farm is a 14-hectare inland resort located at Purok 2,
town of San Joaquin, Iloilo City. If
you’re to ride a jeepney going there, then the estimated travel time will be 2
hours. Maybe it’s just the same if you’ll ride a bus but riding a jeepney is cheaper
compared to bus fares. Well, if you wanna avoid the hustle and bustle of the
city, then this place would be the sweetest escape indeed. Moreover, one of the
things to look forward to when you visit here is your journey to heaven.
An
entrance fee of P150.00 will be collected before entering the place.
Before reaching the most awaited part of the farm, you will pass first at the long and unique “Green Vegetable Tunnel”. Aside from seeing variety of vegetables in
going up, you’ll also see some animals like rabbits, goats, chicken, Murrah
buffalos and a lot more. After passing the tunnel, you’ll first see its
restaurant on the right side, man-made lagoons and the Divine Mercy Cross on
the left.

The Pilgrimage or Spiritual area of the farm
features a journey from “Creation to Ascension” highlighting the quote “Humility is the key to eternity”.
The
entrance has a low beam so that anyone who enters must bow down as a sign of
reverence to the Divine. Then, before
getting to the cross, you need to climb the stairs with 400+ steps. Upon climbing, you’ll get to see and pass on
9 major spots that depicts major events that were told in the Bible.
So, right after you’re done climbing, they
have this Dark Meditation Tunnel you have to pass through. As you get inside the meditation
tunnel, you have this feeling of being drawn into darkness. It was total darkness.
You will also pass through the image of Jesus that
welcomes you to heaven!

The sight
filled me with total bliss. This heaven-like place is so picturesque. My heart
felt very peaceful.

Garin
Farm has also other amenities and activities for adventure-seekers. Activities
like kayaking, fishing, swimming, horse-back riding, ziplines and a lot more.
